TAFT FARMS Current Weather

Our staff, some of whom have been with us for over two decades, have created the Taft Farms community connection. You’ll feel it as soon as you walk in the door. We hope you’ll join us on our 200 acres of Berkshire county.

WE ARE OPEN EVERYDAY, 8-6pm

Taft Farms has been a pioneer in the farming industry for over 50 years, located in the picturesque Housatonic River Valley, near the Monument Mountain nature preserve. With each passing season Taft Farms renews its commitment to sustainable agriculture. With a focus on heirloom varieties, pesticide free growing, watershed management, and minimal fertilizer use, the land yields three+ seasons worth of food.

In 2022 - Paul, son of founders Dan & Martha Tawczynski, took over the management of Taft Farms. Chef Paul has overseen extensive upgrades as we’ve expanded the Market and Kitchen Operations.

In 1968, a week after the original 85-acre Taft Farms purchase (they now own over 200 acres) Dan and Martha Tawczynski explored all the way to the back of their land.

“It was all smiles,” he recalls. “We were so happy we had made the big leap, and now we just had to make it work. Everyone said we were crazy.

Welcome to Taft Farms, open EVERYDAY from 8-6pm

Second Generation Owner Paul Tawczynski gives a tour of the store!

In the Fall - we harvest pumpkins, eat apple cider donuts and let our kids run wild in the corn maze.

In the Winter - we make the largest assortment of holiday wreaths you’ve ever seen.

Come Springtime - our asparagus and rhubarb are shooting up from their winter slumber.

Warm Summer - is the time to come in for heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn and endless strawberries.

Check out our Deli, Bakery, and delish prepared foods.

Our farmhouse kitchen prepares Soups, Entrees, Meals, Sides, Salads and so much more from our seasonal harvest. We take "Farm To Table" to another level— our farm IS our table, and we invite you to sit and eat at it! You really must try the Pie, all of the pies…

Plants, starters, pots or trees - we've got it.

Taft Farms is famous for the quality and variety of produce and horticulture we grow. We specialize in heirloom and hard to find varieties. All are grown without the use of harsh chemicals and pesticides. Our manager, Sue, has been cultivating our Greenhouse for over 25 years!

Our Market has something for everyone including fresh produce..

During our growing season, we offer freshly harvested vegetables and berries right from our own fields, grown pesticide free. Our community market includes produce from other local farms too. Our snack selection features gluten-free, vegan, and keto products so everyone gets fed.
